Congratulations on Being in Contract to Purchase a Home
If you are in contract to purchase a home, you have submitted an offer to purchase a home and your offer was accepted by the seller. It is critical for you to know your contract deadlines and apply for financing right away.
Note: In most cases, buyers who have already applied for financing with another lender should continue to work with that lender to ensure they can meet their purchase contract deadlines.

If you are planning to use HHOC Mortgage’s Down Payment Assistance products, the income documents listed below are required from all household members even if they will not be borrowers for the home loan:
- Federal Tax Returns for the last 3 years
- W2s for the last 2 years
- Most recent asset account statements for the last 2 months (for all accounts listed on your loan application)
- 1 month of pay stubs for all employment
- Proof of other income (if applicable – i.e. Social Security, retirement, disability, child support). This can include award letters or verification of receipt of income.
- Complete divorce decree and settlement agreement (if applicable)
- For self-employed borrowers:
- Year-to-date profit and loss statement
- For partnerships – 2 years of corporate tax returns and K-1 statements
- For Schedule C and/or E filers: Federal Tax Returns for the last 3 years
- Fully executed Purchase Contract
